It certainly helps having an expert on hand to explain everything so well! Thanks to Dad it was a fascinating day and one I didn't expect to enjoy that much after reading how industrial this stretch was.
To be fair, we were also lucky to have a cool, overcast day with little traffic due to a...
LFit the route via Tapia is lovely - well worth a bit of time to stop and explore the little town itself it was beautiful!
If you're staying in Ribadeo there were mixed reports in October last year that the Albergue was rather basic and a bit damp/mouldy.
For what it's worth we ended up...
Michele one more I thought of is Albergue Tu Casa in Vega de Ribadesella - it's owned by a French lady named Marina (we didn't meet her but her friend Christina running the Albergue who was truly lovely). Another special place to stay on the Norte if you make it.

A tip to make...

Hola Pong - I used Eroski in September and October last year and found the information useful and mostly up to date. Especially for Albergues - the reviews are dated so you see how old they are which was really good. I also used Gronzi, the Wise Pilgrim and Buen Camino apps to compare...
Great blogging as always Maggie thank you! Your entries are so enjoyable and informative - the weather looks amazing... I can't wait to be there in September :)
haha don't worry I completely understand that logic! I think that's an excellent plan and sounds like a lovely Camino I hope it all goes well. Will you be blogging this one as well?
