I must say after complaining to Correos they agreed to transfer my bag one day yes and the next not on the province of Asturias and then resume everyday transfer once I’ve reached Galicia. I am relieved!
I called them and they are closed. I decided to stay at Foz and see the famous Playa de la Cathedral on the way, I much rather looking at the sea than going to a mountain anyway. From there I will keep an eye on my phone to reach Mondoñedo but is flatter at least.
Thanks for your replies
Hello everyone
I am in Ribadeo and I am facing a dilemma. If I follow the Camino route I will end up around Lourenzá or Mondoñedo which is near 30 km on a steep over 700 meters mountain. Ideally I would break this stage in two or do around 18/20 km but there’s simply no albergues nor hotels at...
Hi everyone
I was having my backpack transferred by the Correos until today, when they cease their transfers and because an employee told me not to worry because my backpack would be transferred until Santiago because I hired the service in September I thought it would be all sorted.
But it...
I guess the fear of cold, and clothes for 3/4 days were excessive? I cannot pinpoint exactly where was the mistake, but I actually left clothes behind believe it or not @Tincatinker
At this point I guess I am hoping for a miracle, either I get stronger or I manage to arrange this pack transfer...
I tried to remove as much a I could, but being in the ‘cold’ for me, I brought some stuff, since I am used to the extreme heat of Seville. But I will definitely look into the tranport option
Vacajoe
Why is not an option to ship city to city? I thought correo would do this?
I am considering that, will try to do that once in San Sebastian. We might catch up if I get rid of the pack
Yesterday I started way too late walking and went from Irun to Hondarribia then up the mountain to mount Jaizkibel, then it got dark, raining and many times I lost track of the path, but I kept pushing forward, until I saw a couple (more like angels) parked on a car on the peak of the mountain...
I might still be around on Saturday at Irun. Arrived today at night, super tired before even starting, so got a bit of a cold feet, considering getting a proper rest before setting out. I wasn’t planning on booking in advance but it seems it will have to be this way in Basque country, almost...
I will arrive at Irun on the 23rd of September and set out on the 24th. However when you mentioned you already booked all your accommodation I was left wondering if I should do that? I am planning on taking detours towards the sea to avoid highways/asphalt and since this is my first Camino I am...
I will start my camino this week, feeling a bit afraid of the weather as I couldn’t find gaiters nor rain proof pants. Plus I was wondering if I would see a lot of people at this time of the year.
