Umbrella addict - advice needed!
As per the responses above, yes to opaque. The model I bought the Euroshirm Swing Liteflex (silvered) directly from Euroshirm's web site, it arrived quickly and safely. I suppose it was expensive at 40 euros plus international shipping, but no more so than any other high end umbrella or other...- Elizabeth_B

As others have recommended - a silvered umbrella. I took a euroshrim model on my last camino. It wasn't the hands-free model, but I found a way to put it through my pack straps etcso I could walk comfortably under shelter. It was brilliant for both hot sun and rain. Albergue @ Montemarta
I stayed in the albergue in Montamarta in October last year. Sounds like it had improved since jburr's visit. I recall it was cold but don't remember if there was heating or not. Albergue destroyed by fire in Xunqueira de Ambía
That is such a shame! I stayed there for a night last October while on the C. Sanabres. Very characterful and comfortable albergue, with owners very keen to please. Good food, nice garden for sitting in out the back. Hope they can rebuild.- Elizabeth_B
