I just did the same. Also on Gronze, etapa 13, I found there was an albergue in Embalse del Ancantara, 600 m off the camino, E25.- MariannaP

Thanks to all for sharing all the info and memories. I'm findimng it very useful and timely. I'm leaving to Spain in two weeks (my 6th trip) and I always combine walking with volunteering. Is July too hot for Camino Via de Plata?
Quick response, because my brain has shut down. I´m sitting in Zamora as a hospitalera right now, it's midnight and 32 degrees. It´s too hot to do anything, never mind walking. We have very few pilgrims walking through, some cyclists. All of them start with "mucho calor", even Spaniards born and...- MariannaP

VDLP in July - Too hot?
I walked last few summers, i volunteered 3 times. Last summer I felt in love with Zamora, and I'll be hospitalera there second half of July, just like you! Any practical advice, dos or don't s? -other than about heat (I just finished Granada-Cordoba short part, it was extra hot already...- MariannaP

holy cow, its my 8th time out, and I'm nervous...
Buen Camino, Damien. I can relate, flying to Spain in 2 weeks for my 5th time walking, and also nervous. BTW - my first stretch, Granada to Cordoba, June 3rd - 10th (?), anybody planning the same?- MariannaP
