Hey all I am finding this thread misleading, every time I see the subject matter, I think there is an issue with Australian's accessing international travel and / or the Camino. Being Australian and flying out in three weeks...well you know...This thread is from mid 2021, and not related to the...
I just read on another forum that an Australian, Lindsay53, had successfully entered Portugal via Lisbon with absolutely no problems, albeit it took her 2 hours to get out of the airport...
I totally agree, I get updates from Smart Traveller as things change and we definitely cannot enter Portugal unless for "essential travel". I don't get it, because daily Covid cases are much higher in Brazil and USA. It seems rather unfair, but for me I am so glad I postponed my Camino from...

I haven't made it there yet. Was booked for May but cancellations and rescheduling issues with the airline due to Covid made me postpone until September. I too am fully vaxxed with booster and international Covid Certificate, which looks pretty ordinary if you ask me. Look forward to hearing...

I am from Australia as well, and was so excited to finally book my flight to Porto for May 2022, and now today all I am hearing and reading is the new variant emanating from South Africa. Things have changed so much in a matter of three weeks. Trying to remain optimistic, hoping that May is far...
Qantas airline this week announced the likelihood of overseas travel by October 31st this year, but yes we will need a vaccination passport (yet to be figured into an App). I am now aiming for May 2022. Let's hope but in the mean time yep embracing camping in Australia with shorter daily walks.
