    Ebike battery charging in albergue

If used conservatively, the bike battery will last all day. I usually arrive at my destination with 75% charge remaining.

    Ebike battery charging in albergue

The rental company will give you the cables to charge the battery. All you need is to plug and charge the battery. Same as a mobile phone.

Things I wish I’d had on my bici-Camino.

Perhaps in that case, pedestrians should have the bells.

Things I wish I’d had on my bici-Camino.

Indeed!! Many Pilgrims seemed to be in a trance. On more than one occasion, many of them told me that I should have a bell despite me ringing and blowing the horn like a village idiot seconds before. Still the horn worked much better than a little bell.

Things I wish I’d had on my bici-Camino.

A Bike stand with a large "foot" is essential. If you don't have a stand, it is worth stopping at a bike shop and having one put on. One more thing of note, my bike bell was virtually useless. When I rang the bell, people reached into their pockets thinking it was the chime on their phones!!! I...

We were "stopping to smell the roses". Yes we do ride bikes at home.

    eBike, Pamplona to Burgos.

Not our first Camino but it was the first for us on eBikes. IMPORTANT! These bikes will NOT move if you don't pedal. WHO: We are a couple in our 50's who rented 2 Ebikes from Bikeiberia in order to do a leg of the Camino De Santiago in June 2019. HOW: We contacted Bikeiberia several months...

We biked the Camino Frances (June 2018)

Thanks for the reply's. Unfortunately in life the loud and inconsiderate are noticed first, the quiet and polite are not. We had a great time and yes, the noise and the silence are both part of the camino. Looking forward to doing in again on ebikes and from Pamplona to Leon.

We biked the Camino Frances (June 2018)

After many, many months of planning, my wife and I (in our 50’s) finally completed the Camino Frances by bike. We took our time, smelling the roses along the way. I will try to summarize the most important point and make some observations. Now walking and biking are very different but I do...

    Bike on the Train (AGAIN!!)

Searched forum but cannot find a clear answer. Sorry if this has been covered before. Planning the 2018 Camino by bike. Two of us need to get from Madrid to Leon with our bikes on the train. We will again need to get our bikes on a train from Santiago to Madrid. We would MUCH prefer if we did...
