    How to tell my parents?

Though I am older my parents thought I was crazy, I showed them some YouTube videos and explained that I understood they weren’t fathoming why I would want to do this but I was going to do it regardless. For me the end result was that I heard negative /sanity questioning comments till I left but...

Is it rude to ask people why they walk

I would say not at all, if someone doesn’t want to answer in full “for personal reasons or it’s private ” suffices and no one should ever take offence to that.

    My only regret walking

Funny, I just had an amazing conversation at MEC about Injini toe socks. A fellow was looking at them too and was wondering if the were worth it. I shared my Camino experience with him, the clerk was very interested too. You never know where support conversations will happen or when

    January/February Camino?

Though I did March CF we hit all the weathers possible. The only heads up I will give you is prepare for the headwinds we had 3 weeks straight of them. 🇨🇦🧤

Charging medical devices ie Cochlear implants

There is no way to guarantee that you will have access to charging every day. Most days but you have to share the outlets with others for a variety of reasons. Intentions before and after question

I was asked in the pilgrims office in SJPdP and in Santiago the reason/purpose of my walk but that was it. For a fully faith based walk I think going to your local Minister is a great idea, not only because of accountability but for steady prayers along the way.

Rest day after travelling to start point?

We traveled from Canada and arrived at Dinner time in Bayonne. I’m all sincerity I wish we had taken an extra rest day before we started out as it would have made the beginning so much more enjoyable as it is so beautiful. Dealings with jet lag and walking is not fun.

Lost interest in PLANNING next Camino…

I realized after I had arrived for my first Camino I had planned too much. I put away my vital notes to myself and let my steps lead me. Some plan lots and some not at all, my next one’s planning will just be my plane ticket

How do people 60-and-over plan their Camino?

We had a back up plan in case of injury or not liking it but other than that we took it as it came. Initially we walked shorter distances for the 1st couple days (10-15 km) then we found our sweet spot of around 26 km. Listen to your body

How do people 60-and-over plan their Camino?

I would suggest that you walk and go as far as you feel comfortable, use trekking poles which can take 20 % of pressure off your joints. I personally wouldn't hire a support van as when you are over there you can always use a bag transfer service if you feel the need or a bus or taxi if you need...
