I love my Chacos but decided against taking them due to weight. I chose these instead...they have good arch support and support. I will use them for the end of the day and for showering. A little pricey but are well made and I expect them to hold up well. I tried them out this weekend in...
This makes everything better...

I love the French Lavender scent. Pleased with how clean my hair felt, did not leave a residue. Works well on skin also.
Mera...When are you starting on the Norte?
I bought the Hyperlight and the ULA cdt to test out both and I am going with the ULA. The cons of the Hyperlight for me were the stiffness of the pack and the price tag. The ULA felt just as light, the material is tough, more flexible and costs much...
Hi davebugg,
I'd love your advice...
I am walking Camino/Primitive May through June. Planning on summer weight short sleeve mohair top, 3/4 zip long sleeve Patagonia Capilene thermal weight layer with a Patagonia micropuff vest for upper body layering. Will be wearing shorts on bottom. But...
Planning on packing only what I know I will use with the mindset that it will be possible to pick up another warm layer along the way if needed. Am I being realistic?
I will be starting out before you...May 8th. I have a desire to veer off the Camino to catch a bit of the Giro de Italia so that could put me back several days time wise.
OOFOS lightweight sandals instead of Keens? maybe a liner instead of a bag? I am using trail runners instead of boots. I will be doing Norte/Primitivo beginning 5/8 from Irun... maybe i'll see you out there?
I have seriously considered buying this pack but the price tag was a deterrent. Your review/experience with it is making me think it is well worth the price. Hmmm...
I am also walking the del Norte...leaving Irun on May 8th. I tend to sleep hot so I am carrying a liner only. If I get cold I will sleep in my tights and jacket which I am already planning on bringing. I am purposing to pack as light as possible.
Hope I see you out there!
I have gone from someone who confidently thought she already had everything she'd need for the Camino to someone who is continually finding the better than what I already have options. Now I have just replaced my heavier REI multi towel with this ultralite towel. Thanks for the info!
I used to wear Hokas and loved them but I kept having problems with toe damage so I switched to Altra Lone Peak for trail running. They solved my continual lost toe nail issue from all the trauma running downhill. They are not to be transitioned into too quickly though as they are a zero...
I dislike using trekking poles also. When I first began climbing the 14,000' peaks in Colorado I used them with every climb. But finally decided they were actually just slowing me down. I am much happier leaving them at home.
I'd say if they don't feel good and helpful then just forgo them.
