Are waterproof hiking shoes a good idea?
Hi, My last 2 caminos finished in early and late November. Both times we had so much rain. I don't know how I would have gone just in runners walking through Mud and deep puddles. I was thankful for my old waterproof boots....and poncho and rain jackets and pants! On both walks it was warm at...- Karma_m

Pocket knives on trains
Have just had a small Swiss Army knife confiscated at Cardoba train station, AVE train to Barcelona😢🤬 we have travelled all thru Spain, Portugal, Holland, France, Germany on trains & buses for the past 3 months, before and after Camino and yet 3 days before flying home it ended up in the bin...- Karma_m

DSLR-camera on the camino
Hi all, I compromised and took my Olympus OM-D camera with one smaller zoom lens. It is not as big and bulky as my bigger DSLR but takes comparable photos. I also had the AARN back pack system so I carried it in one of my front pouches making it really easy to pull out and shoot... which I did...- Karma_m

Looking for backpack accessory pouch
I second the Aarn system. People may have laughed at me & the pack but I had no problems retrieving camera, guide book, water, gloves, lippy etc from front pouches. The whole pack system was also extremely comfortable & waterproof.- Karma_m
