I used merrells, no blisters but tendinitis. Next time I chose shoe with more cushioning but still good grip, hoka speedgoats. No blisters but found them a bit unsupportive. Next time I’m wearing la sportiva. I’ve got them already. A more structured shoe, plenty support plus great grip. Hard...
I agree with others, you can lose a pair of pants, a long sleeve top, and possibly the cashmere. Surely the puffy jacket will cover you for warmth. I also think don't take the water bladder, you can buy a hose that fits into an ordinary drink bottle on amazon if you like to keep sipping...
I have orthotics and these la sportiva ultra raptor wide work with them. I’ve been wearing the boot version for years and excited to use the shoe version when I go to the 88 temple pilgrimage in Japan in October! 😊

It fits under the rain jacket. It’s lightweight. Thinking I’ll bring it. I’ll ditch the kindle before the puffy if my pack weight a concern! 6 weeks to go and will get onto final decisions soon.
