    saving photos

I took over a thousand photos on my iPhone 4S and still had room leftover. I also found out that my pics were automatically being stored on my cloud whenever I used wifi (I didn't gave a data plan). I can't even begin to tell you how this was setup or how it works, but I'm sure someone around...

    Downsides of Sandals

Downside of sandals in the Camino Frances: the squelch of liquid cow manure under your feet. (That's almost a direct quote from a well-known guide book.) love my boots. ;)

    Blogging: tablet or iPhone

The blogger app works off-line quite well. My two cents As far as the keyboard: I took an ipad mini with a Logitech keyboard cover last Fall ... As far as I'm concerned, the keyboard wasn't worth the weight. I found that on the mini, I could type almost as fast with one hand as I could type with...

    Internet access?

I kept my ipad mini in a loksak dry bag - I did not use it as a camera, but only for blogging, etc. Will use the same set up next time, too - it worked great.

    Sleeping bag advice

If you are in the U.S. consider REI's sleep sack for $50.00 - it weighs 1.5 pounds and packs down pretty small.

Equipment in Summer: sleeping bag vs. Sleep Sheet

Thanks Falcon. I thought that was what you meant, but i've learned the hard way that it's not a good idea for me to assume anything. :)

belt pack or sling front pack?

I thought I would do the same - carrying documents, passport, etc in a sea2summit micro pack in my backpack. my thought was that the micro pack would be easy to take out and carry to the showers and around towns, but would be safely out of the way when I am walking. Also, I really do not want to...

Equipment in Summer: sleeping bag vs. Sleep Sheet

Hi Robert, I leave SJPDP on the 19-September and, after much deliberation, I have decided to take just my liner (a silk sleep sack). It was a difficult decision for me because I get cold easily, but the forum and my kids (who've travelled much more than I have) assured me that I could always ask...

    Sleeping sack and sleeping bag?

I've decided to dump the 1.5 lb REI sleep sack and trust that my clothing and albergue blankets will be all I need to stay warm. It's a big step in letting go for a woman who was born and raised in Florida and lived in Hawaii for 20 years. Yikes ... All I have to do now us remember to breathe...

    First Aid Kit

Thanks SY. I had already replaced the bag with a baggie. The reason why the first aid kit link doesn't match the list is because the listed items are what I added Tylenol: Will reduce to just a couple Blister Treatment: two blister-type gel bandaid thingies in one packet. Traumeel/Rescue...

    Sleeping sack and sleeping bag?

I am traveling the same route and the same time period (though i will be traveling until mid-November) and, I am actually considering taking the same sleep system - rei travel sack and silk travel sack. I tend to get cold easily and have wondered throughout the summer if I should take both, or...
