Where to get walking sticks?
At Decatlon they cost 5 euros a pole, I.e. 10 euros for a pair but in addition you must get the rubber cork for the end so that your stick does not get caught in paving stones(as mine did on the Portuguese) or you can buy those corks at home beforehand. Poles don't fit in checked luggage!
I left my poles at home and bought new ones at Decathlon for 10 euros the pair (5 euros each). Well worth it!- Marie Christian

Packing List - What's missing?
I didn't bother with rope or strings and on the Camino lost a garment tied with a clothes pin, so I replaced the clothes pin with a safety pin and had no problem afterwards. Also I am a light sleeper so ear plugs are an essential for me (and for many people due to snoring in the dorm), as well...- Marie Christian
