    Z-Pack backpack

Good choice of pack. I used an Arc blast on last years walk . I walked from end of April to early October and covered 5000km , the pack held up well, apart from when I carried 14kgs on the GR11, it's to much weight for this pack and becomes uncomfortable after a few hours walking, up to 10 kg...

    How heavy is your backpack

That looks like the German guy we were talking to in a bar. He walked from Finisterra to santiago 94k in 23 hrs. His girl friend was a bit of a light weight though she only managed 70k. Think he left her on the trail for the vultures.

    Calling all Camino men........

I'm also a tights, shorts and Houdini pants wearer. Only a back pocket on the Houdini's so I use an 4 in 1 pack for around town.

    Sleeping Bag Advice

I agree with Mark Lee, for a Camino a bag of 800g or less with a 3/4 zip, ( can be used as a quilt) is best. You do not need an expensive bag.

    Sleeping Bag Advice

I'm not sure if this will help you but it is an option http://www.phdesigns.co.uk/filler-down-sleeping-bag I use this as part of my sleep system. I also use a 20f quilt paired or individually depending on temps and whether I'm camping. I plan on doing the GR11 after my Camino's.

    Check out this poncho/tent

Looks a sweet product. Poncho needs a draw cord for the waist and would be better if made out of Cuben fibre, silnylon gets baggy when wet. Bath tub needs to have higher walls and made from Cuben, the bug net needs to be made out of Noseum I would buy then.

Gym leggings instead of "hiking pants"

I wear Skins compression leggings and running shorts. Great for the knees. I'm male and always go for function over form. https://www.skins.net/uk/skins-a200-mens-long-tights.html These wick moisture and dry quickly.

    Waterproof vs water-resistant

Check out Patagonia Houdini pants. Wind proof, DWR finish, weighs 85g, packs down to the size of a small apple, will dry in minutes.

    What backpack did you use?

Love my Arc blast 60, compresses down to same size as my Deuter 36 pro but is 1.2Kg lighter.
