Hoka Alternatives with Similar Padding and heel-to-toe Drop?

I used Brooks Caldera on the CF this spring and another 100 km on the Portuguese! 900 km in total and there is still a little bit of tread. The textile at the heel has worn out. Loved the shoes, loads of cushion, roomy toebox, very stabile.

    HOKA warning

I am so sorry for you. I just walked the CF and 100 km back on the coastal Portuguese to Porto airport. In fact I am waiting for my flight now. I wore Brooks Caldera 6, mens. I have bunions. The hold up very well. The profile is still a little bit visible under the ball of my feet. Only the...

Best backpack for neck injury ?

Look at the ultralight options like MLD, Bonfus etc. For example Bonfus, 38 liter 330 gr. There is even a smaller 28 liter and also lighter. Very good materials. Those backpacks do get very good reviews. I’ll take the 48 let Saccus on my CF.

    Shoe issues CF from SJPDP

Thank you that was exactly what I thought. I have a booking at Borda. I think it is also nicer to be up for a whole day. As I am from the Netherlands I can train for the ascent I the gym but not for the descents. So this would be best especially because it is the first day. Thank you for being...

I just looked into these shoes. Did he buy the exploits future lights? They seem to be waterproof. How breathable were they? 6 mm drop sounds good!

    Shoe issues CF from SJPDP

No problem, thank you. I might even look at them again but then voor the road shoes, they are normally a bit more plush and have a bit softer upper. Didn’t like the ultra ventures. Wish we had a REI in the Netherlands, or any other shop that allows you try them out outside

I will have a look but haven’t found them yet where live. But thanks! I tried them but didn’t like them. Don’t know why unfortunately

    Altra Mont Blanc Shoes

Thanks! It is worth. Try, unfortunately we do not have a REI here where you can try out your shoes outside for a while.

    Altra Mont Blanc Shoes

Are the Bondis good enough for a CF from SJPDP in April? Sturdy enough for the rocky descents and good grip etc. Soles holding up?

Anyone use Hoka One One shoes?

Did you use the Bondis? And did you walk all the way from SJpdp?

I know that cushioning will get less after a while. Are these grippy?

    Shoe issues CF from SJPDP

Hi all, I have a new question. I am starting the CF from SJPDP on April 5th. Last year I walked the CP in NB Hierro 6 men’s. Liked them because of the roomy toebox and cushioning. The fit of the Hierro 7 is different so a no go, the 6 aren’t available in my size. I have bunions so I need I wide...

Thank you! I will have a look this week!

Is Zpacks Vertice rain jacket worth the investment for ultralight hikers?

Actually it was someone else that mentioned this jacket but I will definitely look at yours

Is Zpacks Vertice rain jacket worth the investment for ultralight hikers?

Hi, Thank you! I have already decided that I won’t buy a Zpack jacket and nothing else from the US. I am not convinced that it offers extra value. And the cost of shipping, customs and Dutch VAT (21% of the value) is just too high. What I will do is bringing a gossamer gear handsfree umbrella...
