    Let's talk waist packs!

I have walked 2 caminos alone (although never truly alone really) and I found it really annoying having to take my pack off to get to my water bottle all the time. So I ended up investing in a belt that held my water bottle and just a couple of other things. It was the only thing I could find...

My draft winter Camino Frances packing list

And besides, if you use merino (wool) as your main layer it will dry overnight in the albergue anyway. So will the socks if you work at it. When I did it last I wore one set of clothes during the day, washed them that evening and they were dry the next day always. So it can be done. Ended up...

    Water bottle or Hydration Pack?

I started my Camino with a camelback but managed to lose the valve within 6 days and couldn't find a replacement. Ended up using 2 small bottles and had to purchase a small bag to put them in as I was travelling alone and I drink quite often. Didn't want to have to stop and take off my pack...

Question for Ferrino and Sea-to-Summit Poncho owners

Would it be possible to sew in some longish strips of velcro near the snaps? Perhaps that would help.

My Packing List - first time on Camino. March-May

I haven't done a Camino yet (first coming up this March) but I use 2 poles always while hiking. Was convinced to do so by a REALLY fit 21 year old hiking guide who uses them always as it not only helps you with balance, but greatly reduces stress on knees and hips. They're great to use when...
