I have always washed mine with all my other cloths and dried them too...smartwool socks..never any problems...same on the trail with all kinds of soap including black soap....wear like iron
Wise Pilgrim app as well has many specific camino tracks and is free and I have found accurate..for the Olvidado tracks are in the Camino Olvidado app and I think they are Enders - and they are needed for that one...
I am sold on Arctryx short or long sleeve. Dry fast. More so than merino and they also don’t hold a smell until a few days. Remember when it rains it is difficult to wash and dry every day. It’s fine.
I have used both kinds. I never thought I would like folding, but Leki makes a great set and I am a believer. I only break them down to pack inside the pack.
My experience with Vasque is that they are narrow. Your feet expand with long hikes...if blisters are on small toes you may consider wider shoes, but not sure the hot area.
