I suggest a flip cover with a note written inside iIF FOUND PLEASE EMAIL .............. works for me a united airlines cleaner found mine on a plane and told me where I could pick it up. United denied having it until I showed them the email. Needless to say they suddenly found my IPhone.
I use the Aldi lightweight sleeping bag it is the smallest money can buy. They have them as a special about twice a year. I buy about 5 when they get them in as I dump my sleeping bag when I get to SDC to make room for new clothes.
I bought one online last year only to have security at Sydney airport take it. I don’t see the difference between that and a hair straightener or hairdryer but we all no that there is no point arguing.
I am 5'2" I have just upgraded to a 40litre very lightweight backpack as I would like room to carry a bit of food instead of carrying an extra food bag.
I keep my backpack weight to max 7kg and I can still get pressure blisters. It is important that your backpack is lightweight to

Six Caminos no bed bugs. I pack my clothes in ziplock bags, never lean my back pack on a wall. Check my bed well and move the bed so that it does not come in contact with a wall. I have been in Albergues where I have seen them crawling up the walls. This year I am walking the Portuguese think I...
I Remember doing it in February once and wishing I had worn rubber boots or for the English Wellington boots.....Snow, rain, slush
I loved it though. Had to buy a hairdryer in Puenta La Reina for the shoes. Then Shared it around.
I have always carried a 35 litre, as a woman who carries no extras I find that it is packed to the gills. I have just bought a 40litre so that I don't have to carry a seperate food bag.
I have done 6 + Caminos and always take an Aldi sleeping bag so light and small. As I am only 5'2 I actually cut some of the bottom and sew it up to make it even smaller. Have walked in February and still find them warm enough.Have Just bought another one.
I dump it in Santiago and continue my...
I know that now but have left Santiago at least 4 times before with my poles. It just does not make sense. There needs to be consistency with air travel. The USA makes you take your shoes off but allows walking poles.
I left Australia before Christmas with my backpack and poles neatly folded in the side pocket. I travelled to Los Angeles, only hand luggage. stayed a month, then flew to Fort Lauderdale, only hand luggage. Then flew to Barcelona via Sweden, only hand luggage. Travelled for a while and then...
I always walk the first 15kms in my shoes then switch to Sandals for the final 10-15kms Terrain permitting........I find for me it's stops the swelling and helps with blisters. It works for me.
Yes. ......I have walked five Caminos and have always suffered from a swelling right foot, pressure blisters, black toe nails. I bought a pair of walking sandals from the $1 bazaar somewhere along the Camino for $14 and they were the most comfortable shoes I have ever walked in. They were Men's...
Yes..... The very first thing I pack. Easier than putting a poncho on and off. Plus instant shade.
You can get very lightweight ones just tuck it in the side pocket of your backpack.
Hi All two days until we leave Australia and we have misplaced our Camino Norde book. Do you know if we can purchase one in Irun in English......Thanks
