I got a larger travel towel, about 30x40” for the showers and I appreciate the larger size - it’s not quite large enough to wrap all the way around my waist but that’s not necessary as I change in the shower cubicle. I ordered the sarong/shemagh type cotton towel and decided against bringing it...
I’m between size 8/8.5 with altra lone peak 6s, I also doubted my feet would swell and ended up getting an 8.5 in the Lone Peak 7s. Turns out there was quite a bit of swelling after a week of walking but the wide toe box has accommodated my foot and ankle swelling so going a full size up was...
They have one pound down blankets on Amazon for about $70. That’s what I’ve been using in Spring along with a silk liner (lows of 38 and above). I sleep cold, so a liner alone wouldn’t cut it for me.
like others said it’s a risk to carry them on. The cheapest pair will run you about 22 euro in SJPDP. I didn’t see any 5 euro ones at the two decathlons I went to. I did see the MT100 for 12 euro each at the decathlons, they’re much better than the base level ones you can get at SJPDP (foam...
A picture of poles from the pilgrim shop, prices range from 11 euro for one to 100+ euros for fancy Leki ones. I found that the decathlon ones are the same price and quality at the low end so no need to buy ahead if you’re in a rush.
Currently in SJPDP and I’m very happy I brought my puffy. Can confirm the pilgrim store has jackets and pretty much everything you would need in stock. I’m starting the Camino on Sunday after the rain stops so can share prices or anything you’d like tomorrow if there’s a need.
I’ve used one very similar to the one you posted (manufactured by Tessan) it works just fine in my hostels so far on the way to SJPdP, I can charge multiple things with it. A EU native charger would probably be lighter but this to me is more convenient as I’ll also be going to the UK.
