Is it worth bring waterproof gear in August?
Galicia is known for crazy weather... Personally, my "waterproof" pants did not work well and just made me cold during my hike.... Shorts worked much better than pants because drying time was much quicker! I would recommend just having a poncho that covers you and your bag. I just used a deuter...- ZacM

Women sun hats - what not to wear
Re: Re: Women sun hats - what not to wear I would say anything as long as it gets your ears and the back of your neck. I wear a baseball hat every day and it pains me not to wear one but you will be in the sun for a very long time. Sun burn is the one pain you actually can have a say in!- ZacM

Terri, If you get a hat you could pour water in the hat and walk with it on your head while it is still wet. Have you thought about a hat with holes in it for your head to breathe more? Socks
I have found in the past that my sock liners do not need to be any name brand or anything as long as they are wicking. Its more about the 2nd layer of socks. I use Smartwool because they are lightweight, breathe, and dry very quickly. I literally use these socks for everything...- ZacM
