Disappointed with my hiking shoes
My merrells got so soaked the last 3 days on the way to Santiago. Hated putting on wet boots. Ended up buying a pair in Santiago to save my feet!!!- cableseller

Hiking Shoes, or Hiking Boots?
my advice on shoes is buy a VERY waterproof model. The three days we walked in pouring rain were very tough when i put on wet boots in the AM- cableseller

Which Osprey backpack?
I went to REI wanting to buy an Osprey and ended up buying a Deuter. This is a feel thing. You need to try a few on with weight in them. I found that the frame of the Osprey dug into my side a bit.
