    Ladies Knee High's used as liners for wool socks????????

    The verdict is no liners for me! I tested them, but felt hot and not free. So, I just put glide on my feet and then put socks on...I did bring "wright" socks which were light, synthetic and had little liner built into sock...but I alternated diff socks without liner and also wound up wearing...

    Ladies Osprey Aura 50 (2011 model) worked out really nice on my 5'1.5 short frame. The inside frame collapsed down to be the perfect height etc...there was room to put snacks on top in the zip pocket..hip pockets (put little camera, chapstick & sunscreen for quick access) and shoulder straps...

    Naglene bottle with carrier worked out great and back up inflatable bottle came in super handy when Ieft my filled naglene in a cafe while delighting in my cafe con leche...somewhere on the meseta... I filled often and drank lots of water laced with "pina" pineapple juice I would get at the bars...

    I decided on a naglene 32 0z bottle with carrier that velcros to pack nicely and I can have next to me (which is way closer then the pockets on my osprey which are set pretty awkwardly out of reach. ALso bringing a 34 oz platypus foldable bottle/bag with clip on holder for back up weighs nothing...

    Pilgrim Veterans...good morning! Regarding sock liners, an army guy told me that he and his comrades wore ladies knee highs as sock liners?! Is this comfortable and does it work like coolmax? I guess if they were silk maybe? They would be much lighter to pack and ball up which would be a plus...
