I found the same thing regarding Icebreaker standing by their quality. I wrote to them about several fairly new underwear with holes in them and they refused any return as I didn't have the receipt. I would not have thought to keep it as I never thought I'd need to return them, but at that price...
I also do the, wear one and pack 2, as I've lost a few pieces of clothing along my last camino, the VDLP, whether by forgetting them or ?? One I was upset about was a smarwool bra that was not cheap. So I'm glad I had brought 2 of those!
What pack did they send you? I just bought the Osprey Viva 45 as I'm doing the camino and the TMB, and the salesperson said that Osprey is getting away from the mesh pockets as they don't last. It doesn't come with a front pocket, which I'm not sure I like, but has 2 large side pockets not made...
Thank you ... I think the ones I was texting via WhatsApp must not subscribe to the app. I'm walking VDLP and trying to get the albergues but booked via booking.com to make sure I had a place to stay during the Easter season.
Hello I wasn't sure where to post this and this seemed the best option. I need help getting in touch with albergues using WhatsApp. I've tried several times to different hostels and not getting through. So I know to use the + sign, then do I use the 34 for Spain, then the cell phone number...
Thank you so much for your informative answer. I will look into that one. I've heard good things about Zpacks in general. Great you were able to walk the Frances and hopefully one day the VDLP. I'll let folks now how my walk goes. Regards, mary
This is exactly what I do. I wear a very thin "money belt" under my clothing which contains only my passport, credit card and large bills if I have any. Thats it! Then I carry a very small purse across my body that goes on first before my pack. In that I have a small wallet with debit card and...
I do agree with the slight attitude part. I just purchased a lightweight 48 L so that I can use it for backpacking trips at home, and not have to buy another pack. Comfort and lightness win over size I think.
I just bought this pack and love it. The fit is awesome for me. I was going to go with the Kyte but it just did't feel as good as the Exos. They didn't have the women's version, the Eja in my size so I tried the Exos and fell in love. I am planning on leaving the top pouch at home as well. And...
I totally agree about the itch factor, though not intolerable, the Costco ones are more itchy for me. I also wait for deals from Icebreaker or smart wool and cough up the price. They last forever and I haven't had any get holes, tough a Buff merino wool headband that's fairly new has several...
I wore my toe socks occasionally as well, but I tend to get the worse blisters around the heels, so those didn't help as much for that. But they are great otherwise.
I would love some of this wool. A Scottish self proclaimed "DR" fixed my friends blisters with this on the Portuguese 2 years ago. I'm on the west coast of Canada. Does anyone know where I can find this here? I tried ordering from the site mentioned but it didn't go through.
