    I wore trail runners (La Sportiva) on the Camino del Norte last year - they were fine. Nice and light! I found some light merino wool socks to wear with them. Since my first camino I have had very few blisters because I use a barrier cream or vaseline. buen camino!

    When I walked the Frances starting in March I had a long sleeve thin merino and an Icebreaker 200 like yours. I wasn't cold. Remember you can always put your light rain jacket on and that will help keep your body heat in. buen camino

    To headlamp, or not to headlamp?

    Hi NP, I've taken a headlamp on 2 caminos - and used it only a couple of times. In those instances I most likely could have used the light app on my iphone instead. If you're trying hard to cut down, I would leave it out. I am not taking my headlamp on my next camino. buen camino
