I used them last year as I walked in summer. They were excellent. Buy the ones used by golfers. They are a thin Lycra, very comfortable and cooling.
Easy to wash and light weight.
Don't take one. There are lots of threads on whether one is necessary or not and the type of accommodation one is expecting to stay in. On the Frances at that time of year you can get by with a silk liner. Only private albergues seem to issue blankets these days. Or lose weight (haha).
First off where are you walking? If your first 'hike' is a camino given you're on this site and you are doing one of the popular caminos then I wouldn't bother taking one at all. Maybe take a silk bag liner. Even a good light-weight bag will be 600 to 700 gms for your size and it's bulky.
