Places to apply a lock will be limited. I haven't sauntered during the summer so I always bring a light weight sleeping bag. I bought i poly-duvet and loaned it to friends for their summer Camino and they said they used it. Mine was from Costco and was too short for me 5'10".
I have different sized and colored lightweight waterproof bags inside my pack. Categories with different colors... Blue/toiletries... Red/Rain... Purple/Sleep ... Etc.
I second Annie’s good fortune. I never saw a Mac store but cords and adapters I’ve bought have worked well.
If you have an upper bunk and damaged feet they sell “pool noodles and zip ties” to pad the ladder.
I wore regular training shoes until the rains in Galicia. I put on the goretex and foolishly didn't put on my gaiters. Deep puddle and the water filled the shoe and never left. Gaiters with Goretex or shoes that dry.
This bag I've added to a water bottle holder, it has straps below that hold my rain jacket. One strap so I can swing it to the front to access a jacket or snack
I bought it at a thrift store and have added a water bottle holder. It has straps where I can tie my rain jacket and I can swing it around to access contents. I know it isn't micro but somehow it is the right size for me

There are three types of Goretex I prefer #2 because it weighs less. P.S. I prefer bright colors Yellow / Bright green so I am visible at night and in weather.
I've changed my ways. I am now a blaze of glory with bright colors so I can be seen. Everything clashes so combinations are loud and proud and cars can see me in rain, sleet , snow, fog or sunrise. I don't tire of it because when I'm a pilgrim I'm in my costumes.
Security blankets should be on everyones list. I buy guides(it is important to pay authors), then copy important pages with my phone. I can expand the images for details. Laminating(two sided) is another way to bring and protest your security blanket(pages)
Bill, there are more than one type of tip design. I carry but seldom use poles, they aid me on downhills. I wish you good fortune and steadiness on your walk. Please pack your clicking poles when you pass me.
There are two weights of Goretex . I have a bright safety-green Patagonia Goretex #2 Jacket. Bigger than usual so the arms are long and I can wear a Nano-puffy underneath when it's cold. I've been wet I plan on it, I avoid cotton and down because they don't dry. I'll be in Galicia in late...
