    Nice picture! There were eight of us walkers at the Arres albergue. The hospitaleras cooked us a delicious dinner and then we went to the bar for a digestif. Here's a picture from just outside the bar.

    Great photo! I thought the albergue in Arres was fantastic, too. The hospitaleros were wonderful and the albergue was spotless. This is a picture of the trail a few hours out of Arres.

    Isobeljc, I stayed at Albergue Pepito Grillo last August. The people who ran it were very pleasant and helpful. It was also well kept. It's really a shame to see it go.

    Sadly, it seems that the wonderful albergue in Estacion Canfranc, Albergue Pepito Grillo, has closed its doors for the last time.

    I walked from Canfranc to Puente la Reina in August in 2018. There were very few people on the trail which was nice for walkers but not so good for the Albergues along the way. By way of contrast, after reaching Puente la Reina, I transferred to the Camino del Norte which was packed. SO much so...
