    Primitivo questions

My wife and I did it in May of 2016 - some wet days. We both had Altras and they were fine. On the times they got wet, they dried quickly.

What are your favourite places on the Primitivo?

Ethnographic Museum of Grandas de Salime for sure. Opens at 11am so plan.

Etapa 6-7: Ruta Hospitales v. Pola de Allande

We did the Polo route, and I would recommend it just for its own beauty, especially the climb out of the valley. However, on the Vezelay route and other routes we have walked, we've seen quite a few bulls, almost always fenced off. I'm thinking you were rightly cautious and gave the cattle a...

Also the hours of daylight are much shorter in the fall. Even so, we had an enjoyable experience and I would not hesitate to do it again...

Primitivo and Inglese ebook guide advice

We used both Wise Pilgrim Primitivo and Norte guides last year, and had no problems with the accomodation pages. I just checked again, looking at Grado in the Primitivo app. I selected The Provinces > Austurias > scrolled to Grado, tapped it to load info, scrolled to bottom where it has "where...

best app for walking the camino primitivo

We walked this spring with both iPad mini and android smart phone. Had Wise Pilgrim app on both devices and no differences that I noted. It was a useful app. In addition, I relied quite a bit on gronze.com and always double checked on both for places to stay. Also carried the Northern Caminos...

Crushed rock fills the Camino Primitivo in Galicia

We just walked over this section a few weeks ago. "Paving" is a very misleading way to describe it. We've walked both the Norte and the Primitivo, and there is quite a bit of road walking where the walking surface is truly paved with asphalt, and quite hard on the feet. In contrast, the new...

    Places in Lugo

We stayed in Hotel Exe Puerta San Pedro last year and Pension San Roque this year. San Roque ok, Exe Puerta way better. Both are near bus station and in good locations near the wall of the old city.
