It is a long time since I was there, but the (very simple) accommodation - shared dormitories, was extensive. Gronze today lists 98 places. You cannot get in (or get out) between something like 2pm and 4pm. I don't think you should have trouble getting a place though.
Vespers at about 8 or 9pm...
Saturday Vigil Mass is 5pm sorry corrected 6:30pm so you should have no problem. I see you say it is closed at 5 on Saturday, but this would mean closed for visitors because of Mass. So will be 'open' for prayer until after the eveneing Mass. Can you go straight there?
Buen Camino
You will find detailed advice and instructions here. https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/resources/guide-to-o-camino-verde-crossover-lugo-on-primitivo-to-sobrado-on-norte.508/
As I remember from many years ago, you head out of Lugo on the 'regular' camino and you are looking for a right...
Fantastic @LoWo thanks for taking the time to give us your report - which is most encouraging. One of the real gifts of this forum is this kind of 'real time' sharing of information. [And it vastly outweighs some of the more contentious discussions here sometimes. 😁😁😁]
Really glad that the...
@Orange It seems no one is responding with any experience this year. Not too many people do it and of course not everyone reads or contributes to this forum  My experience of asking in Lugo was not helpful - they told me at the tourist office I was not allowed to do it!! But I did!
The...
I am really interested in the answer to this question, but I don't see much information. I walked it in 2016. For others, here is that post in September.

Ciao Stefano and welcome.
The cathedral and tourist office will both be closed by 6pm.
I would try the albergue here... ALBERGUE «EL SALVADOR» DE OVIEDO

It would not matter that you are not staying there.
Buen camino.

@C clearly There is nothing wrong with choosing a unique spot for your remembrance. As you ponder on your walk, you might find a place that is more meaningful to you than a place where thousands of others put their rocks
A few lines from Václav Cílek, a contemporary Czech geologist and...
Not surprising really :), but I have to say I agree with every word that @jungleboy says above!
Oviedo itself, Bodenaya, Lugo definitely worth a break and yes I took the Camino Verde and enjoyed it hugely. You'll find a good bit of discussion about it on the forums. When I did it (2016) it was...
Hi Pawel,
Welcome to the forum.
I agree with the two posters above.
I am a Catholic priest, and would usually seek out an evening Mass when there is one as I walk along. I would say on Camino Frances this is feasible at a rough estimate 3 days out of 4, obviously depending a bit on the size...
Good to hear this. I stayed about three or four years ago and found it fine. I think the bar had recently taken over the management then. They were very friendly.
@Terry Callery l I sometimes quote the waymarking on the Primitivo in terms of Goldilocks and the Three Bears! The Camino Frances has vastly too many waymarkings (other opinions on this are of course available). The Norte I thought had too few. And the Primitivo I thought was "just right"!
Hello @TG874 I walked in 2016. I am 64 now.
The road is very well waymarked generally.
I did the hospitales route and really it is not that strenuous compared to many other sections of many other caminos. The issue is more that there are no bars along the way! Take food and water and take it...
I did Primitivo a couple of years ago and loved every step. Not so many (formal) services on that route. I will keep you in mind. I'm on walkingtim.com Buen Camino Tim
@Aptrail Thanks for sharing so beautifully. Humbling and encouraging to hear of the effect of a homily. I will keep you in prayer in the coming weeks as I move towards Rome, as you do to SdC. I'm on walkingtim.com Buen Camino. T
Whenever a church is open - and I agree it is less often than you'd wish - take 10 mins there. Surprisingly often on the CF you'll find an evening Mass in a sizeable village - about 3 nights in 4 I reckon. In my experience, as a walking (Catholic) priest, always a special welcome for pilgrims...
