Heat waves...walking in August.
I walked last year from Cahors to Pamplona and the first week in September was extraordinarily hot. Lessons learned: start early in the day, plan for shorter walking days, be mindful of the socks you wear ( I walked 18 miles in 91+ degree heat wearing Darn Tough socks and developed blisters...- patriciafross

As a single female pilgrim, I walked Le Puy to Pamplona and had the most wonderful Camino walking through France. This year I will finish the CF starting in Pamplona. 183 days until I head back to Pamplona for my final stretch into Santiago. I started in 2022 in Le Puy to Cahors, walked 3+ weeks in 2023 from Cahors to Pamplona , and this year will complete this journey. I can’t wait! The Camino experience is so fantastic in so many ways.- patriciafross

Light sleeping bag or silk liner?

Going guideless on the Le Puy?
We walked from Le Puy last September and met many women who were walking it alone ( that said, you always make friends so you are never really alone). I am walking from Cahors to Pamplona alone this September and I don’t have any worries.- patriciafross

Going guideless on the Le Puy?
I walked from Le Puy to Cahors last year in September with my husband and he kept going on to Santiago. The Miam Miam Dodo book came in handy. I am going back this September to walk from Cahors to Pamplona and I will take the guide.- patriciafross
