Hi Mike, my wife walked her Camino Frances in 2013 and she loved it. She had almost no rain but she also had high temperatures. The most rain she had after Sarria.

Hi Romy, according to the list of Sarah there are 8 pilgrims ( members ) , those pilgrims will begin there journey from SJPdP at the 19th of September. Look at the list and mabe you make contact with the pelgrims that begin on the same day as you.

Hi DanielH, there are 3 trains a day leaving Bayonne for St Jean, you can't book your tickets ahead, you buy them at Bayonne
Part of the way the train turns into a bus due to track repairs but your train ticket covers the cost.

I'm leaving myself on the 18th so we may meet? I am staying in Gite Ultreia but won't arrive till 18.30ish on the 17th, I'm walking to Orisson the next day.
If we don't manage to meet I hope you have an amazing adventure!

I too did my camino in 2 parts St Jean to Burgos 2013 and Burgos to Santiago 2014. Starting again with another 2 week visit, can't wait till I'm retired, too impatient.

This is my first post on a forum, ever. I confess I do not fully understand what I am doing. My eagerness to connect with other pilgrims is reducing my normal tendencies to master this site before posting. I am leaving from SJPP on September 20, 2015. I am also looking for a way to get transport from Bayonne to SJPP on the Sept 19th. Thank you and Buen Camino!

You can use this SNCF/TER web to find train/bus transport from Bayonne to SJPdP. Buy your ticket at the station; seats are not reserved on these train/bus transport combos.

I am not sure if there is an October thread, but my dad and I will be arriving to St Jean on October 9th.

Also... We have our train tickets from CDG to Bayonne booked, but I am having trouble finding a recent time table for Bayonne to St Jean. If anyone could pass any suggestions my way I would be beyond grateful!

The Link which I posted just above to Lorna D. shows 4 train/bus transport combos for the 9th of October. Buy your ticket in the Bayonne rr station. One ticket covers both the train and bus. No reservations are needed.

Hi and welcome LornaD! This was my first forum too but so well worth every minute spent here for the wealth of great information that experienced pilgrims can share with you.
I'm enclosing the link to the rail site like Margaret did, I can only see 3 leaving times from Bayonne on the 19th? maybe different as the weekend? I can see 11.10, 14.56 and 18.06. As Margaret said you cannot purchase you ticket in advance just buy at the station, by the time you get here you will be meeting other pilgrims, easily identified as they are the ones with the backpacks.

Will add you to our list. If you go to the EXPRESS BOURICOTT website you will see there is a van booked to leave Biarritz at 17.30 you can get a seat for 18 Euros if you e-mail Caroline. Sorry I can't seem to provide link, can you Google?

It'll be my 3rd time on the camino (second time walking the whole way - cross-fingers). I'm way more excited this time than I was the first time. My first time on the camino was because my mum dragged me along on a hiking holiday she said I would *just love*. Turns out that mums sometimes do know better! ;-) She wasn't too pleased about my camino tattoo though. Hahaha!

I'll be walking solo, 28 year old female, I quit my job to do this, walk with God and find my new path! I can't wait to meet people and share the journey.

Unless there is a last minute hitch, I will arrive in SJPdP on 15 September and depart on 16 September. It looks like a few folks are starting right about then since I was able to get my ride from Biarritz to SJPdP for only 18 euros. Should get in with time, I hope, to get a credencial at the Pilgrim's Office. Hope to see some of you out there.

I am unbelievably excited! A few days left until jet plane day, and then we begin!

My personality is to normally research and plan as much as possible and then control as many situations as I can in life. Thankfully the past few years have brought me the ability to roll with the punches, and my girl and I will make our decisions day by day.
