We will be arriving in Ferrol late tomorrow and plan to stay the next day to do laundry and explore as we have not been there before; we start walking on Saturday. Any suggestions- what to do, where to eat etc.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
There's a naval museum, but I seem to remember that the opening times were very limited. A walk round the marina was pleasant. Mass in the cathedral. A nice place to wander around looking at the architecture
We had a menu del dia just opposite the tourist information in the centre of town at the Cafe Avenida. Very friendly. We also had the thickest hot chocolate ever at a place at the top end
of the market

We had nice cocktails at Orixe Artesania. Lunches at Bla Bla Cafe.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Not much to see @ Franco's birthplace on the Rua Maria, just a discreet wall plaque -- but it's easy to find.

Have a drink at the Parador and large free tapas. Naval Museum is free. Get your passport and stamp at marina near 0km marker and walk the Camino Ingles (might need a few extra days)!

We had a second breakfast after laundry- cafe con leche and pasteles de nata. If they are open tomorrow as we walk past we’ll stop for some to go.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Ferrol has a strong cultural influence from military people coming from other regions like Cartagena (Murcia) and Cádiz (Andalucia), so that the Semana Santa ferrolana with its "cofradias" and "pasos" like in the south of Spain and the fact that it is "not a good idea" to speak Galician language to them despiste most of them have Galician origin.
