Part of a blessing in our Jewish prayerbook but not on what I wish to dwell. Went to the supermarket today and there, on the shelf, with the greengrocer sat a little box. One which struck a resonant chord from deep within. Something I had never seen in Jerusalem truly: אור חדש על ציון תאיר!
For those poor souls for whom the Hebrew language remains unfathomable - a quick translation. The small letters on brown read "Tekoa Farm" the larger ones on orange read ***Padrón Peppers ***! True, they were probably grown in a hothouse in the mountains of Jerusalem, on the Judean desert a hot and arid place and not in rainy cool Galicia but very exciting none the less. Their taste? Not yet dinnertime - Watch This Space!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

"Pimientos de Padrón. Unos pican, outros non" Pimientos de Padrón. Some are spicy, some not.
Very important to test his authenticity!

Very important to hope that I get one of those hot ones!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Just finished dinner, 2320, we eat Spanish style. The "Pimientos de Padrón. were authentic and delicious! Sadly, all gone!!!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
