A couple of weeks ago, instead of winging off to Europe as I would habitually do in late May, I was visiting my doctor. “That has to come out”, says he. And since the offending growth was in a very inconvenient location on my nostril, he recommended a plastic surgeon. So this morning, at considerable expense, the deed is done. Maybe I should reflect on my good fortune. In another year I might have ignored the problem in my eagerness to get away.

These things need to be dealt with. May you recover quickly! (With the least amount of razzing about the bozo bandage covering your nose. The stares are only mildly embarrasing. But still.)
