Albergue at Castro Dozon?

Hi, My sister and I are in Cea at the moment and plan to stop in the Monestary in Osiera for the next stage. We are limited in how far we can walk due to our age, and have found that if the Albergue in Castro Dozon is still closed we will be in trouble trying to find accommodation within about 30kms, as the Hostal A Taberna de Vento is full. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can get around this problem. Our Spanish is very poor so trying to call places or taxis isn't an option for us.

At the first cafe in Castro Dozen the husband drives the taxi so just ask there. Also can ask for one at the bottom cafe and the bus stop is right outside that one. We were exhausted and took it straight to Silleda to Albergue San Anton but you could go to A Laxe. It is a pain having the Albergue closed in Castro.

The Invierno( I think it’s the Invierno??) goes through Lalin which is just down the road, many options there. I did the Sanabres last year and we actually spent 2 nights in the Taberna de Vento using cabs to double back so we would avoid a 30+km day.
 
We walked through there in August and the Albergue was closed. We did stay at Hostal A Taberna de Vento in a separate building just down the road from the bar. It seemed to have quite a few rooms so as Tincatinker says call them or get a local to do it on your behalf. Maybe the Hospitalero at Osiera may do it although I'm not sure how much English he spoke as my son speaks fluent Spanish.
 
We did this last June and it was easy. Four of us shared the taxi to an accesible restaurant on the way recommended by the cafe owner who drove us. We then walked to Silleda. The next day we took a taxi back to the restaurant and walked back to Silleda.

I am on VDLP at the moment and have little Spanish and my pronunciation is so bad that what I do say is often incomprehensible. Current strategies - ask current host to call ahead, to call a taxi, or direct me to a bus stop. I find young students are often very willing to help with their newly acquired English skills. Use Google translate. Humbly ask - do you speak English. It’s amazing how often someone has a little English and I have a little Spanish and we work things out between us. Start all sentences with Por favour …Good luck and Buen Camino
 
Thank you all for your helpful tips. We bit the bullet and walked from Osiera to Lalin via Castro Dozon and gave treated ourselves to a hotel and will enjoy a nice meal tonight. Once again thank you all for your incredible assistance.
