What's the current state of Albergues and other facilities in Spain? Is there any trouble finding beds? Are albergues doing anything to enable/encourage social distancing and cleanliness in the dormitories and bathroom facilities?

Thank you!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I am in Cirauqui tonight. Top bunks left vacant so reservations recommended. Private albergues spotless. Everyone in Spain wears a mask indoors except when eating. Outdoors a lot also. But not while actually walking on the Camino. Buen Camino.

Staying on the Norte in Orio - no one in top bunks, but no masking indoors.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thought that exact same thing….
