Arriving to Santiago for Xmas

What day do I have to plan ahead for arriving to santiago in order to see festivities for Christmas?is it the 24th or 23rd?

Christmas eve is the big day in Spain followed closely by January 6th (the Three Kings).

I'm sorry.... I wish to throw in my two red cents. Xmas means nothing to me. CHRISTmas does. Meaning Christ does NOT equal X. Yes, am planning to be there too (hopefully) and if St. James decides I ought to be there.... I certainly will

Being Jewish I am not that familiar with these religiouse dates especially in Spain.
Shall I plan to arrive on December 30th or January 5th?
