Arriving to Santiago for Xmas

What day do I have to plan ahead for arriving to santiago in order to see festivities for Christmas?is it the 24th or 23rd?

I'm sorry.... I wish to throw in my two red cents. Xmas means nothing to me. CHRISTmas does. Meaning Christ does NOT equal X. Yes, am planning to be there too (hopefully) and if St. James decides I ought to be there.... I certainly will

Shall I plan to arrive on December 30th or January 5th?
