August Camino

So I only have two weeks to walk the Camino and I thought I would start in Sarria walk to Santiago De Compostela then continue walking to Finisterre then walk on to Muxia. Does anyone have any advice for traveling during the middle of August? Or traveling from the Camino Frances to these other routes? I'm honestly looking for all the advice I can get, I'll be going on my own (I'm a girl) and while I'm nervous, the Camino has been calling me since I was 13. Thank you!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi Eddalynn!
You will have a wonderful time, but remember it will be VERY hot mid-August, so try to walk from maybe 6-7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Wear plenty of sun-block, and cover bare parts if you're walking in the heat of the day - arms and legs and head.
You'll find the camino may well call you back many times, not just the once!
Buen camino!

Stephen.

i'm off to Spain in August too!
With too weeks you have so many options....the route you have chosen will be rather busy..and the scramble for beds will be a daily occurance.I'm familiar with the french route and will use my time starting in France and walking till my time runs out....i hope my son(17YRS ) willl join me.Good luck with your walk...it is nice to get your compestilla..but it is not the be all and end all...you may consider walking a 2 week stretch that is quieter and more scenic?rural

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
good news...my son confirmed he WILL join me...yesterday we went out to buy him a waterproof jacket...and we got 2 micro fleece sleeping bag liners(£7.99 TK Max).So excited that he will walk too....countdown has started
