Hi all...I'm all set to start my trip ( arrive in Spain on the 27th ) and am planning to start at St. Jean.....but I've been looking at the weather and see that it's not so good....is it safe to take the pass to Roncesvalles in this kind of weather?( of course it could change by the time I get there ) My time is limited, so I wouldn't be able to wait indefinately for the weather to break...any advice is much appreciated...thanks

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Every guide book I've read says the same thing: Heed whatever advice the locals give you. If they say that it is unsafe to take the Route Napoleon, use the alternative route.
