Hello
We wish to take the train from Bayonne to SJPdP September 26th. Is the train now operating. I heard there was disruptions earlier in the year. Also, we arrive Biarritz at 13:35 and wonder where to find the up to date train schedule for late afternoon from Bayonne.
Is there a name for the train line/operator.? Thanks

It seems the site won't give a schedule for Fall yet, but if the same trains run as now, then it should be OK. I'll be in the same situation on October 5, trying to take the 18:30 train to St Jean.

I went to the OUI.sncf website on Monday (30 July) and was able to buy a ticket for the Bayonne - SJPP train on 29 September. Train times and the ability to book seem to come up about 60 days out, so if you’re looking for 5 October you should see your trains any day now. The site is in French but you can switch to English in the top right corner of the screen.
Buen Camino!

I bought a ticket for August 24. I was told that if the train should be canceled for any reason they substitute a bus.

Actually, as I arrive in Bayonne at 16:48, and the Pension Beilari has its pilgrim's dinner at 19:30, while the train arrives 19:31 and then I still have to walk from the train to the Pension. I hate getting there late for the communal meal. What is the experience with a shared taxi (Bourricot) from Bayonne?

Express Bouricott is a terrific transport -- quick, efficient, and affordable for the service received. They fill seats through their reservation process, so if you make a reservation now (which is advised) and you are the only person scheduled, that will change quickly as your departure time gets closer. Their shuttles are usually full, or nearly so.

I got in touch with Bourricot and will get out 13 minutes later in Biarritz instead of Bayonne. The company said it's easier to fill the bus with people arriving at the airport. I feel really excited now, doing my preparations.
