Hi All, we are beginning our walk tomorrow from Porto (outside). We are a little limited for time so would like to begin at Vilarinho. The train out to Vilarinho takes us to a place called Cuca. Does anyone know if this is close to the trail? In the book Vilarinho looks like a town on google maps it looks like a area. Can’t seem to find information. We would really appreciate thoughts. Thank you. Kaye

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi kaye..my suggestion would be to catch the train to Barcelos, which takes 46 minutes and costs 5 euro+ and then the bus to Ponte de Lima which is 50 mins & costs 5 euro.
You could then enjoy the atmosphere of Ponte de Lima which is a beautiful small town. This will save you some of your precious time.
My wife & I are from Melbourne & did the walk from Ponte de Lima to Santiago a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Be safe & enjoy your time. Beun Camino.
Alain.
