Bilbao airport to Estella?

Any tips on the easiest/ cheapest /most efficient way for 5 pilgrims to travel from Bilbao airport to Estella tomorrow afternoon/ early evening. I'd appreciate any information you can give me..Alice

Hire a car. You will find it most economical and most efficient way of transporting 5 people.

You may have to drop the car off in a larger nearby town such as Pamplona but you can easily catch a bus or local taxi from there.

PESA bus from Bilbao Loiu Airport to San Sebastian/Donostia bus station.

San Sebastian bus station is outdoors at Plaza de Pio XII

La Estellesa bus from San Sebastian bus station to Estella.

Note: at time of writing I cannot get the Estellesa bus link to work.

Autobuses de Navarra has information for Bilbao, San Sebastian, Pamplona, and Logrono to Estella.

Alternatively go from Bilbao Airport to Bilbao bus station by airport shuttle. Then take autobuses La Union to either Logrono or Pamplona and then Estellasa bus (which runs between Logrono and Pamplona) to Estella.

Some changes to my last on this thread from 2014.

-San Sebastian has a new bus station co-located with the Renfe station. Otherwise nothing changes.
