Is that cola? For breakfast? Chacun a son gout, as they don't say in Spain.

I remember Ventosa, a small hill town in the Rioja vineyards. Good job you made an early start, Davebugg, if you're going all the way to Santo Domingo de la Calzada, that's over 37km. A good day's walk, and Santo Domingo is worth it. You get reduced price entry to the cathedral (to see the famous fowl) on production of your credencial.

2024 edition: The Brierley Camino Frances Guide
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
