I'll have to remember to get that helpful litle tidbit into the guide revisions, thanks, Albertinho!

I would assume you have to go into the center of Grijo for the bus? (would you say that's about a km or so from the monastery?)

From Grijo, the Caminho, according to my notes and not my memory, goes through Perozinho and Rechousa and then through Vila Nova de Gaia. Do you know whether there is bus service in those two little villages as well? I know that once you hit Gaia you will have access to the Porto bus system, which seemed to me to be quite good. Thanks, and bom caminho, Laurie

What I do remember of it Laurie that we entered Grijó through a long narrow street-following the waymarkers -with houses at both sides and at once there was a kind of small square at the left with some shops among others a bar or bakery shop where we had our lunch.
Walking to the end of the square more to the left was a busier street and walking that street to the right there was a busstop in front of a butcher shop. The butcher told me to walk 50 meters further on to a roadcrossing and there was a garage with a lot of buses.
A man came to us and pointed us to a bus going to Porto . The bus followed the road which at the end came out on one of the famous Porto bridges and stopped near Sāo Bento .I can't remember the bus stopped somewhere. I think it went right through. I thought for us both we paid 3 € for a single trip.
I can't remember the monastry. It was in 2013
Bom caminho
