Looking for someplace to buy clothes in Astorga - just another layer for warmth up in the mountains. Anyone know of any shops?

There are a bunch of shops that cater to pilgrims in the plaza mayor, you'll find something there.

There's a nice gear store called Huracán Astorga on Plaza Santocildes. Owner is really nice and speaks good English, and they have a good selection of outdoor gear.
