Camino de la Lana or Levante

Kiwi-family

{Rachael, the Mama of the family}
Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
which and why?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Oh, I wouldn't be making plans. no. not me. Merely researching.

Since I have already walked the Levante, it would be the Lana. It is on my short list for my next long Camino.
It's on my short list for a short camino! One month to Burgos, a perfectly acceptable stopping place.

You are incorrigible!
That's what my father-in-law says. It's never felt like a compliment ;-) (but he does love me dearly)

@Donna Sch secretly hoping next year. Having only just got back from seven weeks away I don't think I can swing my original plan of "fifty days on the camino for my fiftieth birthday" - when I made that plan I didn't know I would be going this year! And I'd want a long one to be in spring merging into summer - I just cannot imagine proposing I take off for a second stroll less than six months after this one.

Go for the road less travelled...the Lana.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
I've done them both. The Levante ('17) had a few pilgrims that I ran into periodically but on the Lana ('18) I never met another pilgrim except for the times it paralleled/joined the Levante. The Lana also had some areas of marked out signs and questionable route markings. The Levante had more interesting towns like Avila and Toledo but the Lana was a beautiful and very solitary walk. I recommend a better than average knowledge of Spanish and a good gps system on your phone for both of these routes.
