Camino de Santiago on US TV

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I guess "any publicity is good publicity!" but I must admit I prefer the quieter caminos, and all the advertising and recent films have dramatically increased the pilgrims - especially over the last 100kms.

I blame Martin Sheen!

A friend alerted me about halfway through the program. I flipped on the TV and watched the last half. From what I saw it was not much about the pilgrim experience as we know it, but more about the history of the pilgrimage to Santiago and to Finisterre from ancient times to the present, with lots of footage of Celtic sites along the way, etc. One interesting point was speculation that the bones in the Cathedral at Santiago may be those of Priscillian, a 4th-century Christian ascetic/heretic who is thought to have been buried in the area where the supposed remains of St James were found. Google him for some interesting reading.
