I am returning in June to Gijon to complete the Camino Del Norte but when I get to Ribadeo I don't want to leave the coast. I want to head up via Burela Can Ciprain, Vicedo Ferrol and then come down into San Diego. Are there any paths or will I have to walk on the road. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Lyn Twohill

Hi Lyn, I'm not sure if someone has more precise information, but I followed a lovely path from Ribadeo to the famous rock arches at Las Catedrales: http://www.granerodelburro.com/2014/08/coastal-path-las-catedrales-to-ribadeo-galicia.html

After that there's a very quiet road running all the way along the shore line (you can see this if you zoom in on google maps), as well as locals' paths along the cliffs. I was just enjoying Galicia and not as a 'pilgrim' per se, so I caught buses and also walked whenever possible, but there didn't seem to be much camino infrastructure. However maybe that is changing: the local council seems to have started way marking the Camino del Mar/ Ruta do Mar: http://www.lugocamino.com/camino-del-mar

(Oops and after writing all of this I see it's already been dealt with a bit on this forum! Just do a search for 'Ruta do Mar' (or camino del mar) and you'll get helpful links to discussions and blogs!)
