CF J/F 2019, planning for CF Dec 2019
Hello all, this will be my second camino (previously did the whole CF this past Jan/Feb). I'll be joined this time around with my father (in his 70's) so we're going to be starting in Sarria. I'm just curious about how rainy it is? I was lucky last time to only have a few days of rain, but I wondered if anyone has walked the CF early Dec and if they encountered all day rain in Galicia. Thanks!!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
In December in Galicia you might find sun, hail, snow, wind, fog and rain. Quite possibly in the same afternoon It really is highly unpredictable and the only practical option in my opinion is to assume that there will be heavy rain and go well prepared: waterproof jacket (and probably trousers) and an adequate change of clothes kept safely stowed in waterproof bags. Not wise to assume that you will always be able to dry wet clothes thoroughly by morning.
