Hi All,

This is my first post on this site but I´ve been following the the threads of others, gathering information and inspiration. I am starting the camino from Madrid on 8th of May. Traveling across Europe for the past 8 months from US and the CdS has been on top of my list for a while. I want to wish everyone who is doing the camino a wonderful experience. I will be following up on this site and hopefully make time to post updates of my journey.

Hi, Mehran,
Welcome to the forum. Have a great Camino de Madrid. There are a few forum other forum members there now, in fact, and a loyal bunch of "alumni" here on the forum always interested to hear how things are going on that Camino. Though it doesn't go through any show-stopper cities like some of the other caminos, there are some interesting places and churches, and excellent pilgrim infrastructure overall. Hola, Mehran!
Since I walked Camino de Madrid I became huge fan of that route and I too wish you all the best while walking it. I can ditto everything Laurie posted. If you need any additional info just fire away.
It looks like this year at least 8 members will be walking Camino de Madrid. @Maya Amanecer 2015 already finished it.
